We've made it to November, which means we get to celebrate some songs that are a quarter of a century old here at Burn and Shine. This is the fourth such compilation that I've shared, and if you are interested in the others click on these links: 1986, 1985 and 1984.
Not much to say about 1987, but I will mention that the brilliant comedy, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, came out that year and it is far and away the greatest Thanksgiving movie ever. Be sure and watch it again some time this month.

Personally I thought 87 was an interesting year. I went to see the new movie “Wall Street” – you know, ‘Greed is good’. I went to the bank, withdrew all my savings and invested in the stock market only to see it tank – like the next day. But luckily for me the FDA ok’d Prozac that year and I’ve been on it ever since … so, as Seinfeld was to point out in his hilarious series a few years later, I pretty much ended up ‘Even Steven’. Or at least it felt that way, thanks to Prozac. I don’t remember much about what was going on in the 87 music scene though. Hopefully this lovely little comp will change all of that! Thanks mighty max! The world needs more people like you. You know, people who know what’s important in life. All the 70s power-pop comps are very much appreciated as well. Cheers
